Michael Taylor – Owner
Michael Taylor III is no stranger to hockey in the Berkshires. Michael was a product of St Joseph Central High School where he played all 4 years of varsity hockey, winning one Hennessy League Championship & finishing 4th in the state in scoring his Senior Year. Mike then branched off and played one season at the CP Dynamo 18u AAA before heading to the CD Selects Junior program in the EJ. From there Michael went back to Massachusetts to play for the Springfield Jr Pics for two seasons. Mike quickly got into coaching right after his playing career. He was involved in youth hockey in Berkshire County & learn to skate program. He was a part of the rebuild of the Wahconah Warriors Hockey program. Mike joined the program and within two seasons took the program to the Western Mass Finals. Mike has been on the 2006 Academy staff for two seasons. Mike is currently a scout for the Danbury Hat Tricks in the NAHL
Barry Cassevoy – Youth Hockey Director
Barry Cassevoy is an accomplished hockey player and coach entering his fourth year with the Atlantic Coast. His hockey career began in Jamestown, NY, where he played four years of varsity hockey in high school before advancing to junior A hockey with the Buffalo Lightning Jr A in the OPJHL. He enjoyed a successful collegiate career at Morrisville State College, where he was part of a team that won a National Championship. Afterward, he transferred to Worcester State College to finish his degree while continuing to play hockey. Since graduating, Barry has remained active in the sport, participating in men's leagues and coaching youth teams.
Barry and his family reside in Ludlow, MA, where he continues to share his love of hockey by coaching and watching kids grow and learn in their hockey experiences.
Dan Kearns – Midget Director
Coach Dan Kearns has been involved in the game of hockey for 40+ years. Coach Kearns played High School Hockey for St Josephs (Pittsfield MA) where he was 3x All League & Regional Goaltender. Coach Kearns lead the Crusaders to back to back State Finals, from there he went on to play under the “Coaching Great” Brian Foster at Trinity Pawling School NY where he still holds the single game save record with 73 in a game vs Avon Old Farms. After TP Coach Kearns went on to play at UMass Dartmouth before suffering a career ending Knee injury. His coaching started at the age of 25 where he coached various age & skill levels. At 29 years old he was hired as the head coach of Taconic High School. In his 6 seasons the Braves qualified for 6 straight District Tournaments, 3 League Titles & 1 District final Championship. From there he went onto coaching AAA Hockey with the New England Falcons (now MassConn) where his 2001 AAA team won the peewee Minor “FED” Championship. Coach Kearns also won the EJEPL AAA 2001 Bantam Minor Championship with the Atlantic Coast Aces. Coach Kearns was a part of the start of Atlantic Coast Hockey Club, over seeing a big portion of the Spring & Summer Program. Coach Kearns is currently on the 16U Academy coaching staff.
